Planning Your Bali Wedding

Sangeet Choreography in Bali

Bali’s cliff-top resorts, beach clubs and lush villa estates make it a dreamy setting for an Indian destination wedding. Sumit Khetan Entertainment choreographs Bali weddings to suit those spaces: romantic couple dances, open-air sangeets and entries that use the ocean and greenery as a backdrop.

What we choreograph for Bali weddings

  • Sangeets on lawns, cliff-top decks and in resort ballrooms
  • Sunset couple dances and varmala concepts
  • Bride and groom entries designed for open-air venues
  • Family performances and easy group dances for guests

How a destination sangeet in Bali works

  • Choose the season. Most couples plan Bali weddings for the dry season, roughly April to October, and keep a covered back-up for rain.
  • Learn before you fly. Families learn their routines through online sessions and video tutorials, so rehearsal days at the resort are for polishing.
  • Check venue rules early. Many Bali venues, especially villas, have strict timings for amplified music.
  • Plan travel for props and costumes well ahead, as everything has to be flown in or sourced locally.

Our team travels to Bali for the final rehearsals and the event. Rehearsals run over 6 to 8 days on average, with 2 to 3 days dedicated to the couple, and we are usually booked around 6 months ahead. Read how families abroad prepare online, see our international weddings, or tell us about your wedding.

Many Bali venues, especially private villas, have strict timings for amplified music, so check them early and plan the sangeet schedule around them.

Around 6 months before the wedding, as destination weddings need extra planning for travel and rehearsals.
