Planning Your Mumbai Wedding
Sangeet Choreography in Mumbai
Mumbai is home ground for Sumit Khetan Entertainment. Our team is based in Malad West, so for Mumbai weddings we can plan rehearsals around your family’s work schedules and travel across the city. We have choreographed sangeets and entries at venues including Jio World Convention Centre and Trident Mumbai, as well as family celebrations in Borivali.
What we choreograph for Mumbai weddings
- Sangeet shows for banquet halls and ballrooms, with stage, LED and lighting cues
- Couple dances and bride and groom entries
- Family and friends’ performances, from first-time dancers to confident performers
- Varmala concepts and reception performances
Planning tips for a Mumbai sangeet
- Book early. We are usually booked around 6 months ahead, and November to March is peak wedding season.
- Plan rehearsals around the commute. Choose a rehearsal space close to most of the family and keep the schedule fixed.
- Share venue details at the start. Ballrooms differ a lot in stage size, ceiling height and rules on effects such as cold pyros.
- Lock the music about 6 weeks before the wedding, so choreography is built on the final edit.
Rehearsals run over 6 to 8 days on average, with 2 to 3 days dedicated to the couple, usually in the final 3 weeks. For the full timeline, read our sangeet planning checklist, or tell us about your wedding.
